You may have a bone spur, or you may just be experiencing normal healing. Bony projections like the one you described rarely cause pain unless rubbed or touched. They usually don't need treatment, unless they occur where they will be bothersome.
The pain you felt three days ago sounds unrelated to the bone spur, but it may have been caused by something rubbing against the area. Other likely causes are pain from a nearby tooth, or prolonged healing of the nerve affected by the extraction. The nerve healing phase can last several months (even more than three).
If the pain persists, visit your general dentist for an examination. Otherwise, mention it at your next regular visit.
