Bonding, crowns, and composite and porcelain veneers are not really affected by whitening agents. They will maintain their original color. After your whitening sessions are complete, you can have the veneer redone with a composite to match your teeth.
If you have a 10-year old composite veneer that is still in excellent condition, you are one of the lucky few. Composite veneers, especially ones made that long ago, have a maximum life expectancy of about 10 years. Most need some maintenance within a few years of being put on. Older composites, like the one you have, tend to discolor and wear more, compared with the newer composites used today.
